Bimetal screws and barrels
Bimetallic screws and barrels represent a highly durable solution for the extrusion of rubber compounds in tire manufacturing. Compared to nitrided versions, they are additionally equipped with a bimetallic layer on the outer diameter of the screw and on the inner surface of the barrel, significantly increasing wear resistance, extending service life, and ensuring stable performance even under extreme operating conditions.
Thickness of barrel bimetallic layer: 1.5 - 2.0 mm
Hardness of bimetallic layer: HRC 58 - 64
Types of PTA welding: Deloro 60, Colmonoy 56, Colmonoy 83, Stellite 12, Stellite 20 and others
